England & Wales Statutory Fee
AVRO have invested heavily into the production of the below consultation response. As the largest and oldest representative body in the recovery industry, we have sought experiences from our members the length and breadth of the country.
This document lays bear the treatment our industry has had to endure from 2008. In some situations, we are receiving less than before the statutory charges were increased because the Police, Highways England and their middlemen have siphoned the fees for their revenue, which is contrary to government policy.
We have been fighting to bring an end to this practice and hope we have done enough for the benefit of all recovery operators.
